Description

This 4-5 hour course touches on First Aid, Situational Awareness and the basics of Firearms. Students who are 12 years of age and older will have the option to receive a Certification in Basic First Aid from Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI). Instructors will run several scenarios requiring you to assess your situation and learn how to judge what is safe. The firearm portion of the course will cover the rules of firearm safety. You will have an opportunity to learn about the various types of firearms on the market and what their most common usage is. We will cover safe storage, unloading and clearing of a firearm, and how to know if it is loaded. We touch on some of the laws that will apply to firearms and firearm ownership and some of the ways that you can protect yourself as a firearm owner.

Individuals that are 18 years of age or younger and interested in this course may be approved, please contact us for additional requirements. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for indoor/outdoor activities including bending, sitting, standing, and light lifting. Closed-toed shoes only.
